Installation procedure

BlackBerry

  1. From your Blackberry Main Menu, launch your Internet navigator
  2. Enter the following URL: http://www.techsolcom.ca/files/desjardins.jad
  3. You will be asked to confirm the application downloading. Click “Yes”. After the download, your Blackberry might reset.
  4. The application installation will start automatically after downloading.
  5. To access the application, click on the Desjardins Icon

 

iPhone

  1. From your iPhone Main Menu , select «AppStore» (see note below)
  2. Click on the "Search" icon located at the bottom right of the iPhone screen.
  3. Enter "Desjardins" in the search field located at the top of the screen.
  4. Click on "Desjardins SiteFinder"
  5. Click on "Free"
  6. Click on "Install"
  7. Enter you Apple Account ID and password
  8. Iinstallation will start after dowloading.
  9. To access the application, click on the Desjardins Icon

Note

You must have an Apple Account ID to dowload the Desjardins Site Finder application. The following will assist you to create an ID

  1. Using a personal computer with access to Internet, launch the iTunes application (Download iTunes)
  2. Once in iTunes, select "Store" -> "Create an account...", located at the top of the screen.
  3. Follow the indications

 

 

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

BlackBerry

  1. I cannot find an Internet Navigator on my BlackBerry.
    1. You probably do not subscribe to a Data-Internet package. Contact your mobile service provider to subscribe to a Data-Internet package.
  2. When I click on the Desjardins Icon from my BlackBerry Main Menu, the application does not start.
    1. There may not be enough memory available on you BlackBerry. Delete large files, unecessary photos or videos and restart.
  3. When I click on the Desjardins Icon from my BlackBerry Main Menu, the following error message is displayed : « GPS coordinates not available ».
    1. The GPS function on your BlackBerry may not be activated. From your BlackBerry Main Menu, go to Options – Advanced Options – GPS and activate the GPS Services.
    2. The GPS signal may not be available at your location. Move closer to a window or go outside, to eliminate obstacles between the GPS satellite and you.
    3. You may be using an older Blackberry version, not equipped with the GPS option. The Desjardins SiteFinder application works with the following BlackBerry models :

      OS version: v4.0 or later
      • Models equipped with the activated GPS Option.
      • BlackBerry® Storm™ 9530
      • BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8110
      • BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8130
      • BlackBerry® Curve™ 8310
      • BlackBerry® Curve™ 8330
      • BlackBerry® Curve™ 8350i
      • BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900
      • BlackBerry® 8800 smartphone
      • BlackBerry® 8820 smartphone
      • BlackBerry® 8830 World Edition
  4. When I click on the Desjardins Icon from my BlackBerry Main Menu, the following error message is displayed « The connection could not be established ».
    1. Your BlackBerry’s Data-Internet connection is probably not activated . Reactivate you Data-Internet connection.
    2. The Data transfer between the SiteFinder Server and your BlackBerry may be too slow or transmission errors occurred.. Restart by clicking on the Desjardins Icon on your BlackBerry Main Menu.

 

iPhone

  1. When I click on the Desjardins Icon from my iPhone Main Menu the following error message is displayed : «GPS coordinates not available».
