Access Design Standards

TechSolCom took the necessary measures, while respecting the current Web accessibility standards and norms, to guarantee to the web users an equitable access to the contents displayed on this present site.

The web users with any form of disabilities, whether visual, auditory and/or motor, will be able to access all contents of the TechSolCom site.

Size of the relative text

It is possible for the internet users to enlarge the size of the text in two ways: :

1. whether by using the enlargement functionalities that are available via most web navigation agents: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.;
2. whether by clicking on the A A A buttons on the right side of the top of each pages to increase the size of the text up to 50%.

Structure of the information

1. the pages are structured with the help of headers and hierarchical titles;
2. the elements of the lists and citations are correctly marked out in the code according to the good practices stipulated by the W3C;
3. the links and information blocks are accessible in a logical order (sequential) in order to facilitate the comprehension of the web user and to favors the use of reference points.

Web navigation help

1. work-around links: the web users can directly access to the principal navigation of the site or to the textual contents of the pages;
2. navigation by tabulation: the web users that are unable to use a mouse can access to the contents and links of the pages by using the «tabulation» key to advance or «shift-tabulation» to go back;
3. the site offers a main navigation bar that is coherent and easily accessible for the web users.

Separation of the presentation content

1. all texts or textual equivalencies remain readable and accessible in the case of the deactivation of the sheets of styles and/or of the Javascript scripts;
2. this separation of the content and of the presentation ensure an elegant transformation to the site regardless of the constraints linked to the equipment or to the configuration of the users agents that are at the disposal of the web user;
3. the pertinent non textual contents, necessary for the comprehension of the web users, come with textual equivalencies.

Sufficient contrasts of colors

1. 1.The colors of the texts and backgrounds were tested with a contrast analyzer. This made the contents readable for the sighted or visually impaired web user, and this, regardless of his/her age.

Validity of the HTML documents and respect of the W3C norms

1. 1.the codes of the pages were designed in accordance to the norms and recommendations of the WAI and those of the future standard of accessibility of the Quebec government;
2. 1.the Javascript functionalities that are available on the site, respect equally the recommendations of the DOM as stipulated by the W3C.

Comprehension of the contents

1. 1.recognition of the languages of the documents: the languages used in the pages of the site are identifiable by the vocal synthesis devices in order to restitute the contents in a intelligible and comprehensible way for the web user;
2. 1.the textual links are named in a way that facilitate their comprehension even when they are out of their context of use;
3. 1.the contents are presented in a clear and comprehensible manner, while being adapted to the targeted clientele of the sites.
